September 21st 2015,
Baylor had the bye week but here are some gifs of Blake (#73) in the last game versus Lamar. Next week they play Rice at home.
Outside zone, a rare play for Baylor to run.
The Power play.
This is Power, backside guard pulls, Blake comes off the double team to the 2nd level.
This is just the Power play again. The defender didn't want any part of taking on this block and was so wide he ran himself out of the play. Depending on the alignment the play could be taken inside or outside.
Another Power play, another big gain.
Inside zone lead.
Eight (8) seconds of pass protection leads to a touchdown pass.
At Right Tackle and running a Dart play that turns into a short trap versus the Nose tackle.
Inside zone lead. Getting to the linebacker level and then staying on the block turns small gains into bigger ones. Hard to do. If the defender turns on you and you maintain contact, hands in the back are allowed.
The Power play one more time. The pulling lineman needs to stay tight behind the rest of the offensive line and get up inside quickly. It allows the back to get vertical then bounce if the linebacker tries to 'wrong shoulder' it.
